The constitution of a Technical Committee consists of the Nominating Organisations that represent various interest groups across the industries. These Nominating Organisations are currently participating in Standards Australia’s Standards Development activity. The Nominating Organisation appoints a representative to represent the views of that organisation’s interest group during the development of a Standard.

Below is the list of current Standards developed and published by Standards Australia. This list does not display the obsolete, superseded, available superseded and withdrawn Standards. The published Standards are documents that set out specifications and procedures designed to ensure products, services and systems are safe, reliable and consistently perform the way they are intended to.

Acoustics - Declared noise emission values of computers and business equipment
Applies to computer and business equipment. Specifies the method for determining the declared noise emission values, acoustical and product information to be supplied to users by the manufacturer and the method for verifying the declared noise emission values given by the manufacturer. Identical with and reproduced from ISO 9296.
Acoustics - Measurement of airborne noise emitted by computer and business equipment
Specifies procedures for measuring and reporting the noise emitted by computer and business equipment. The basic emission quantity is the A-weighted sound power level which may be used for comparing equipment of the same type, but from different manufacturers, or for comparing different equipment. Two methods for determining the sound power levels are specified in order to avoid undue restriction on existing facilities and experience. Identical with and reproduced from ISO 7779.
Acoustics - Measurement of high-frequency noise emitted by computer and business equipment
Specifies four methods for the determination of the sound power levels of high-frequency noise emitted by computer and business equipment in the frequency range covered by the octave band centred at 16 kHz. Identical with and reproduced from ISO 9295.
Acoustics - Method for the determination of airborne noise emitted by household and similar electrical appliances - Particular requirements for dishwashers
Sets out objective methods of engineering accuracy for determining sound power levels of airborne noise emitted by dishwashers within the specified frequency range of interest.
